Who Am I ?

Florian De Boeck is a serial entrepreneur who has always felt the urge to build and create. He completed his engineering bachelor at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium, with a specialization in Biomedical and Entrepreneurship. After three extremely intense years of studies, he left Belgium to get his master’s degree in biomedical engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, in Italy. During his international studies, he had the opportunity to go to Stanford University in California to continue his master but declined the offer to stay in Europe and start his own project, Spentys ; a medical platform enabling healthcare providers to create patient-specific orthoses and prostheses more efficiently, thanks to 3D technologies. As the project evolved rapidly, Florian had to take a difficult decision; stop studying and start dedicating 100% of his time to Spentys.

Today, Spentys has around 30 employees across 4 countries, has raised VC money, and is quickly growing. The solution is now available in more than 20 countries around the world and is used by more than 100 medical professionals. Spentys is seen as the most user-friendly solution on the market. Florian is in charge of the technical side of the company, making the bridge between the technology and the market’s needs.

Thanks to his extremely dedicated and product-oriented mindset, he was able to understand the pain points of the orthopedic world and developed the right solution for it. The technical background of Florian helps him understand the possibilities and the limits of the technologies, while his entrepreneurial mindset pushes him to move the innovation forward to disrupt the industry.

At the age of 21, Florian started working for Engineer Without Borders in Madagascar, Congo, and Burundi. The objective was to help institutions improve their waste management. Florian is still active and traveling for Engineer Without Borders during his free time.

Florian has also launched a coworking space in Brussels (SanoHub, meaning the Healthy Hub), has re-started the Family Brewery with his brothers and sister (De Boeck Family Brewery) and written a Family book, retracing the life of his great grandfather (Pedro De Boeck).
